New Digital Marketing Manager drives online opportunities for CUA
23 July 2009
CUA (Credit Union Australia) has appointed Melbourne local Melita Antolic to the newly created position of Manager – Digital Marketing, in which she will bring to the table her extensive digital marketing experience.
Ms Antolic said her role within CUA was specifically to develop and manage the digital strategy for the company’s internet and intranet functions, managing content and further enhancements via value-add products.
“My role encompasses quite a bit including ensuring CUA has a presence in the market through a new online channel, and developing and managing online campaigns,” she said.
Ms Antolic, who is based at CUA’s Melbourne hub office, has previously worked for Telstra, Ford and Sensis where her passion for digital marketing began.
“My career in digital marketing began at Telstra where I gained the knowledge that an integrated digital strategy is critical in generating and retaining business.
“After that I moved onto Ford where I was the Online Integrated Marketer and managed online activities including identifying opportunities for using new technology to generate greater online efficiencies for Ford.
“My most recent position was at Sensis where I was Product Manager for the New Car section of the Trading Post Online automotive website.
“There I developed both the long and short term strategies for the website and I was responsible for managing marketing and sales activities to drive business through the website.”
Ms Antolic said her new role at CUA was a first for the company and although challenging, offered the opportunity to fully utilise her extensive experience within an environment that aligned with her own values.
“It’s my first time working in the finance industry and something that I’m already enjoying at CUA is that the value-add approach for members is carried throughout the business.
“When I was offered the position at CUA I saw they lived by a philosophy I believed in – member centricity and sustainability, and I knew this was a step in the right direction.
“CUA offered an opportunity to manage their digital direction and allow me to take it to the next level from a commercial and technological point of view. The challenges they offered really piqued my interest.”
