CUA Tops CHOICE survey for everyday banking satisfaction
01 October 2009
CUA is Australia’s top financial institution when it comes to everyday banking satisfaction, according to a recent independent survey by respected consumer advocate group CHOICE.
In a survey that was dominated by mutual organisations, CHOICE’s results found CUA had the highest proportion of satisfied customers when it came to their day to day banking, with an overall score of 84 per cent. The CHOICE survey also noted that mutual organisations achieved high satisfaction scores for fees, product range and internet banking.
CUA CEO Chris Whitehead said, “Our mutual structure and exceptional service are just two of the differences between the banks and CUA. CUA’s profits are used to offer an ever-changing range of products and services flexible enough to change with our members. The benefits of fairer fees, value for money, our community orientation and a complete service focus are why one in five Australians choose to be credit union members.”
Mr Whitehead added that since the survey was completed before the rediATM expansion, mutuals like CUA have become an even better alternative to the banks as they now boast access to one of Australia’s largest ATM networks.
